Measuring for Outside Mount Shutters Width:

Use your tape measurement measure from the left side of the window opening to the right side of the window. Take the measurement at the bottom, middle and top of the window opening. Select the widest of measurements as the correct measurement. This will give you the measurement which will determine the width of your plantation shutters.

Measuring for Outside Mount Shutters Height:

Use your tape measurement measure from the top side of the window opening to the bottom side of the window. Take the measurement at the left, middle, and right of the window opening. Select the longest of measurements as the correct measurement. This will give you the measurement which will determine the height of your plantation shutters.

Measuring for Inside Mount Shutters Width:

Once you have determined that there is sufficient depth, and that your window opening is square you will be measuring for inside mount window shutters. Width: Use your tape measurement measure from the left side of the window opening to the right side of the window. Take the measurement at the bottom, middle and top of the window opening. Select the smallest measurement as the correct measurement. This will give you the measurement which will determine the width of your plantation shutters.

Measuring for Inside Mount Shutters Height:

Use your tape measurement measure from the top side of the window opening to the bottom side of the window. Take the measurement at the left, middle, and right of the window opening. Select the shortest measurement as the correct measurement. This will give you the measurement which will determine the height of your plantation shutters.
